Nel primo trimestre del 2012 il Pil - secondo i dati dell' Istat -, espresso in valori concatenati con anno di riferimento 2005, corretto per gli effetti di calendario e destagionalizzato, e' diminuito dello 0,8% rispetto al trimestre precedente e dell'1,4% nei confronti del primo trimestre del 2011. Quello registrato nei primi tre mesi dell'anno e' il calo peggiore dal primo trimestre 2009, quando per l'economia italiana si era registrata una flessione del 3,5%, sempre rispetto al trimestre precedente.
Il dato conferma quindi che l'Italia e' in recessione. La stima preliminare diffusa il 15 maggio scorso aveva rilevato la stessa diminuzione congiunturale e una diminuzione tendenziale dell'1,3%. Il primo trimestre del 2012 ha avuto due giornate lavorative in piu' rispetto sia al trimestre precedente, sia allo stesso trimestre del 2011. La variazione del Pil acquisita per il 2012 e' pari a -1,4%. La domanda nazionale al netto delle scorte ha sottratto 1,2 punti percentuali alla crescita del Pil (-0,6 i consumi delle famiglie, -0,7 gli investimenti fissi lordi, mentre la spesa della PA ha contribuito positivamente per 0,1 punti percentuali).
Anche la variazione delle scorte ha contribuito negativamente alla crescita del Pil (-0,5 punti percentuali), mentre il contributo della domanda estera netta e' stato positivo per 0,9 punti percentuali. L'andamento dell'offerta mostra variazioni congiunturali negative per il valore aggiunto dell'industria (-2,0%) e dei servizi (-0,6%), mentre quello dell'agricoltura e' aumentato del 4,9%.
